This immersive 9-day journey blends the primate-rich forests of southeastern Gabon with the coastal wonders of the west. You will explore the protected wilderness of Lekédi Park, encounter forest buffalo and antelope roaming freely, and venture into the remote habitats of the Western Lowland Gorilla during a once-in-a-lifetime trekking experience. Important Note: Travel in Gabon is incredibly rewarding but can also be unpredictable due to limited tourism infrastructure. Visitors should expect long travel times, variable road conditions, occasional flight delays, and changing weather that may affect planned activities. Mobile networks, internet access, electricity, and water services may be inconsistent in remote areas. While our team strives to deliver the highest quality experience possible, flexibility is essential, and we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance and allowing buffer time in your travel plans to accommodate unforeseen delays.
PAYMENT TERMS: This Safari Tour Requires 30% deposit upon booking and the rest to be paid 4 weeks to safari.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Any cancellation of a booking by a Client, shall be effective upon its acknowledged receipt by theCompany. The date on which the Company receives the correspondence (Notification), will determine thecancellation charge, if any.
- 0% of total tour cost is forfeited for cancellation made 60 days or more before departure.
- 30% of total tour cost is forfeited for cancellations made between 30 and 59 days before departure.
- 70% of total tour cost is forfeited for cancellations made fewer (less than 30) days before departure.
You will be picked up at the Airport by Kwafrika travel representative to whisk you away to your hotel. Spendthe rest of the evening unwinding.
Dinner and overnight at Hibiscus hotel.
In the morning you will fly from Libreville to Franceville. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the city ofMoanda, located approximately 30 minutes from Franceville.
Moanda is a small mining town known for its proximity to natural reserves and its peaceful atmosphere.
Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Free time to relax after thejourney. Overnight in Moanda.
Early morning departure for Lekédi Park (open Saturday and Sunday).
Arrival at Lekédi Park, a premier sanctuary and one of Gabon’s most accessible gateways to the wild.Here, you will encounter forest buffalo, sitatungas, and various primate species roaming freely within a meticulously protected ecosystem. Your experience includes an immersive guided safari through the park’s diverse landscapes, offering intimate glimpses into the heart of Gabonese biodiversity.
Around 1:00 PM, you will return to Moanda, then be transferred to Franceville. Arrival and check-in atHôtel Héliconia in Franceville.
Overnight in Franceville.
Morning flight back to Libreville. Departure: 9:30 AM
Arrival: 10:25 AM
Transfer to the hotel and check-in at Hibiscus Hotel.
You will spend the afternoon uncovering the vibrant spirit of Gabon’s seaside capital. Your guided exploration weaves through bustling artisanal markets and iconic landmarks, concluding with a scenic drive along the palm-lined Atlantic coast. Experience the unique blend of modern Gabonese architecture and the rhythmic charm of this cosmopolitan African hub.
Overnight in Libreville.
Late morning boat departures between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM to the coastal city of Port-Gentil.
The boat journey lasts approximately 4 hours, offering scenic views of Gabon’s
coastline and waterways.
Arrival in Port-Gentil in the late afternoon. Transfer and check-in at thehotel.
Overnight in Port-Gentil.

Departure at 9:00 AM for Loango National Park, one of Gabon’s most famous wildlife
destinations.
The journey takes approximately 3 hours by road. Arrival at the lodge in earlyafternoon and installation.
At 16:00 you will depart for an afternoon safari into one of the world’s most unique natural theaters.Witness the breathtaking meeting of forest, savannah, lagoon, and ocean. Guided by expert eyes, you willdiscover the reserve's resident megafauna, including forest elephants and buffalo, in a pristine environmentwhere the wild meets the waves.
Overnight near Loango National Park.
You will begin your day as the forest awakens. Guided by expert trackers, venture deep into the pristine canopy for a transformative trekking experience. Stand in silence as you encounter a family of WesternLowland Gorillas in their ancestral home, a rare and intimate glimpse into the lives of these majestic primates. Afterward, return to the lodge for a well-earned midday rest and reflection.
In the evening, you will embark on a serene boat excursion through the winding spot wildlife gathering atthe water’s edge, concluding your day with a breathtaking
sunset reflected across the tranquil Atlantic waters.
Departure after breakfast for the return trip to Port-Gentil. Arrival in early afternoon.
At 3:00 PM, enjoy a city tour of Port-Gentil, exploring the main streets, waterfront areas,
and key sites of Gabon’s economic capital.
Overnight in Port-Gentil.
Early boat departure at 7:00 AM from Port-Gentil to Libreville. Arrival in Libreville at 12:00PM.
