8 Days DRC Lowland Gorillas, mountains gorillas and Nyiragongo Hike

8 Days DRC trip combine a gorilla safari and Nyiragongo hike. D.R. Congo has both lowland and the mountains gorillas. The lowland gorillas are located in Kahuzi Biega National Park, mountains Gorilla in Virunga National.

A safari in D.R. Congo to view a group of these unique apes is undeniably one of the most thrilling and most sought-after adventures that you should count a must to include in your next safari holiday. Spending few hours on a face to face encounter with these dramatic creatures is such a magical experience that comes once in a lifetime! Visitor encounters with these Great apes entirely involves exploring their general behavior and lifestyles (feeding, mating, nesting, body gestures and others) while they are in their natural habitat. This is among the rarest experience for one visiting Africa.

Nyiragongo is a beautiful stratovolcano that features the world’s largest lava lake.

While the trek up to the volcano will not be the easiest (it takes 4 to 6 hours), it will completely worth it once at the top. The lava lake is incredible, and tourists spend hours watching the waves of lava and listening to its roars. At the peak of Mount Nyiragongo, you will sleep in basic huts (make sure to bring warm clothes as it’s quite cold up there) and will wake up above the clouds. This will surely be a truly amazing and unforgettable experience, and probably one of the best things you will ever do.
