In the morning, you will visit the pygmy community at Muvumu hill. This will be an opportunity for you to dive in their cultural attachment and interest in its preservation. After lunch, in the afternoon, you will be brought to cattle herders in Mugamba region. Cattle herders have strong ties with cow population: it is a source of livelihood, a social status, a economic growth factor and a cultural pride. You will assist to a number of performances around cow when taking them to graze, to drink water and when they are brought back home. After morning breakfast, start your day with a visit of the majestic Karera waterfalls. The Karera falls are made of 5 splendid falls with different names in the midst of a green vegetation with different animal species. Then proceed to Gitega, visit the national museum, make a tour of Gitega, the former royal city and actual political capital of Burundi known for its sacred drums. Enjoy the Gishora drum sanctuary (Ruciteme and Murimirwa).
